Posts
A post can be like a journal entry that you are sharing with the world, it can be an invention you have thought up, an essay on an environmental topic of your passion, a reccomendation to the CAN community, a review of a book or resource, and much more. If you make an environmental game in Scratch you can put it in a post.
New Post
Make a new post by clicking ‘Add New’ under ‘Posts’ in the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard (what you will see when you log in). Fill in the title and content in the boxes provided.
Categories
While you are making a new post, you will see a box on the right-hand side which it titled ‘Categories.’ Put a checkmark in all the categories that apply to your post. If you put a checkmark in a sub-category (an indented one), also check the main category it is in. Don’t put your post in too many categories, no more than three main categories. If your post is in Innovations or Games please do not put it anywhere else. Also please only put embedded Scratch games in the Games category. If you are not sure about what tags or categories to put your post into, save your post as a draft and browse the site to get an idea of what goes where
Tags
Above the categories box there is a box that says ‘Tags.’ If you are not farmiliar with tags and how they work, click the link that says ‘Choose from the most popular tags.’ A Tag Cloud will pop up. A tag cloud shows (by the relative size) how many posts are tagged with each tag. Click tags that apply to your post. If there are tags you would like to add type them into the indicated box (seperated by commas) and press ENTER. When someone clicks on a tag in the tag cloud that your post is tagged with, they will see your post as wel as all of the other posts with that tag. Only tag posts with ‘games’ if they talk about games that are external (not on the CAN site). Please do not tag embedded Scratch games with the ‘games’ tag. If you are not sure about what tags or categories to put your post into, save your post as a draft and browse the site to get an idea of what goes where
Post Tools
When you are making a post you will see a toolbar. Some of the tools are probably familiar to you, like the button for making fonts bold, but I will explain them in case you don’t know them all (if you forget, hover your mouse over a button and an explanation will show up) :

First button creates a link, second one breaks it.
